On the corner of Vine

Pasta by hand.Wine by the glass.

A small, loud, happy Italian trattoria — fresh pasta rolled every morning, a wood oven that never goes cold, and a couple hundred Italian bottles open at the bar.

Our story

One pasta pot, one wine list, one good idea.

Stella & Vine started the way most good trattorias do: two cooks, a borrowed pasta machine, and a stubborn belief that dinner should take a while. We roll the tagliatelle and pappardelle by hand every morning, braise the ragù until the afternoon, and keep the wood oven going from open to close.

The wine list is the other half of the place — a couple hundred bottles from small Italian growers, most of them open and pouring by the glass, because a single glass of something good is the whole point of a wine bar.

The plates people come back for.

Tagliatelle in a six-hour ragù, a blistered Margherita off the oven floor, and a tiramisù we won't tell you the recipe for.

Tagliatelle al Ragù $26

Hand-cut ribbons in a slow tomato-and-beef ragù, parmesan, a turn of black pepper.

Kind words

What the regulars say.

  • The tagliatelle tasted like someone's nonna had been at the stove all day. We let them pick the wine and they nailed it.

    Daniela R. Illustrative review

  • Came for one glass at the bar, stayed for three plates and dessert. The Margherita off that oven is the real thing.

    Marcus T. Illustrative review

  • Our anniversary spot now. Bright, unhurried, and the tiramisù is worth saving room for. Book ahead on weekends.

    Priya & Sam Illustrative review

  • The kind of wine list where you can ask for "something funky under $60" and get a story with the bottle. We'll be back.

    Jordan K. Illustrative review

  • Cacio e pepe done right — three ingredients, nowhere to hide, and they pulled it off. Cozy, quick, and the staff are lovely.

    Elena V. Illustrative review

  • Walked in without a booking, grabbed two stools at the bar, and had the best Tuesday in ages. Negroni was perfect.
